AVANTEC becomes part of the Grapha Group

AVANTEC and GRAPHA-Holding are pleased to announce that AVANTEC is now part of the Grapha Group. AVANTEC has already invested heavily in the expansion of its security portfolio in recent years. By joining the Grapha Group, which also includes GIA Informatik and the POLYDATA Group, AVANTEC has now taken an important strategic step to complete its security portfolio with managed security services and to continue its sustainable and successful development. AVANTEC will remain an autonomous company and will continue to be run by the same management and under the same name. Grapha will take over 100% of the share capital of AVANTEC, participate in its strategic development and ensure access to synergies within the group.

The common vision is to further develop AVANTEC in the years to come as a leading IT security provider and to strategically expand the range of security services, including managed security services. ‘It has always been our goal to offer customers complete IT security from one source. Now that we’ve joined the Grapha Group, there are great opportunities for us, our customers and our employees. In future, our customers will benefit from a complete range of IT services consisting of AVANTEC’s proven integration services and a new range of managed security services, which will now be developed together with GIA Informatik’, says Mark Stäheli, Co-CEO of AVANTEC.

Customers, partners and employees can continue to rely on the AVANTEC quality promise. Security integration will remain the core business area, but joining Grapha now offers the opportunity to complete the range of security services. Christian Schwarzer, Co-CEO of AVANTEC, explains why the Grapha Group is the right partner for this step: ‘It was important for us to find a partner whose goals are in line with those of AVANTEC: a long-term development of the company while maintaining high standards of quality and customer orientation.’

Stephan Wintsch, CEO of GRAPHA-Holding, on the takeover: ‘Grapha is a family business with a long tradition. Values such as quality awareness and consistency are key for us. With the focus on a sustainable expansion of our business activities, we have been investing more and more in companies from the IT sector for several years. With AVANTEC, we have incorporated a company into our group that appreciates and lives by our values just as much as we do. We are convinced that together we will be very successful in the market.’

AVANTEC and Grapha are pleased that this important step has been successful, and are highly motivated to implement their common vision.
