prime CertifiedAccess – for secure access in uncertain times

The current pandemic situation is still one of the greatest challenges, also for employers. But how can companies fulfil their duty of care without too much effort? With prime CertifiedAccess, certificates can be recorded, and stored access rights automatically matched.

The optional module for the access control system is intuitive to use and effective in its application. It optimizes the necessary registration process and ensures optimum security. The registered certificate is compared with the access authorizations stored in the system; if the certificate is invalid, the doors remain locked for this person.

Scenario 1 – Pre-registration

With pre-registration, employees* can have their certificate checked at home on a PC or laptop or on the move via smartphone or tablet. In the first step, he can capture the QR code of his certificate either by a simple upload or with the camera on his smartphone. In the current situation, this can be the vaccination certificate, the convalescent certificate, or the test result. He then identifies himself on the specially configured website by entering his personnel number or the number of his company ID card.

The data entered is now compared with the access authorizations stored in the system. If the information matches, a validity date is calculated, and the access control system issues the required access rights. The employee can now enter the company premises, e.g., through the entrance gate, by booking at the access control reader. After the expiry date, the access rights are automatically blocked again.

Scenario 2 – On-site registration under supervision

With prime CertifiedAccess, the validity of certificates can also be checked on site at the entrance to the factory premises. The plant security (or another responsible person) assists in the registration process and thus forms the second security instance, so to speak.

The employee* shows his company ID or personnel number and his certificate. The supervisor scans the certificate – or supports the employee in scanning it independently. The software now shows the supervisor whether the certificate is valid and whether the personal data on the certificate matches the identification features of the access control. prime CertifiedAccess then suggests a validity date for the current access authorization. The supervisor must actively confirm this validity date.

If errors occur in the registration process or, for example, the test certificate is only available without a QR code, the supervisor can also influence this process manually and still authorize or deny access to the company.

Flexibility and data protection

Whether a company opts for pre-registration or on-site registration under supervision, or for both scenarios, must be considered individually. In prime CertifiedAccess, each scenario can be configured and operated easily, securely, and quickly.

In the current situation, the challenge is also to reliably map new findings and the resulting new legal regulations. The flexibility of prime CertifiedAccess allows the administrator not only to apply common 3G (Plus) and 2G (Plus) regulations, but also to add user-defined rules. Information on new test types or specific vaccines can also be stored and checked during the registration process.

Privacy and data protection are considered in every case. Only the validity date of the QR code is stored in the database and no other data beyond that.
