One year STW China

The automation experts STW from Kaufbeuren, Germany, are celebrating the first anniversary of their subsidiary in China. STW China started operations on March 1, 2021. The first twelve months has been outstandingly positive.

China’s economy continues to grow strongly. Economic growth in 2021 was 8.1 percent. Boosted by infrastructure programs, demand for mobile machinery is also high. In order to better support Chinese manufacturers of construction, agricultural, municipal and mining machinery directly, STW established a subsidiary on March 1, 2021 in Shanghai. In addition to providing local support for existing partners and OEMs, the new company focuses on increased market access and general marketing measures within China. Led by the Chinese subsidiary, STW is strengthening its presence at the local trade fairs and conferences.

He Dawei, an experienced industry and market expert, joined STW China as the Director of Business Development.  He Dawei is available as a direct contact for personal meetings and discussions. STW China has also established a channel on the Chinese messenger service WeChat (STW_China). This is used to disseminate news about STW and its portfolio. At the same time, it serves as a means of communication for inquiries about products and services. With these local measures, STW ensures comprehensive support for local customers, interested parties, and the further development of local partnerships.

After one year of STW China, this further step into China has proven to be the right decision and an important one. Hans Wiedemann, Director of Channel Partner Management at STW Germany and General Manager of STW China, sums up: "Especially in the last two years with the extensive contact and travel restrictions, it was very important to have a central hub in China. Kudos to He Dawei, who has done an excellent job representing us on the ground and helped establish the Shanghai office. We look forward to the coming months and to making many new contacts at upcoming events in the country."

Anyone who wishes to get to know STW China will have the opportunity to do so at the BICES construction machinery trade show in Beijing at the beginning of May. STW China will be presenting systems and solutions for excavators, wheel loaders and co. at booth S8-521.
