CoreTigo to Extend Cooperation with DEA Cobotics to Drive Industry 4.0 Forward in Italy

DEA Cobotics have recently declared the expansion of their cooperation with industrial wireless automation specialist CoreTigo. CoreTigo’s IO-Link Wireless solutions have been integrated into various of the Italian robotics specialist’s machines, thus giving them the freedom and agility needed for factory automation.

DEA executives explained their way of viewing each customer as a partner, thus, it is essential for them to live up to the highest standards and provide a holistic turn-key solution for industrial robotics.  Unbinding the robots from cables is a key element in unlocking their full potential and providing customers with the best technology possible. Such a task would not have been possible in the past, as traditional wireless networks such as Wi-Fi or BLE are not reliable or robust enough to withstand the demands of the challenging industrial environment, and above all, not deterministic.

As IO-Link Wireless is a deterministic industrial wireless protocol, it provides cable-grade reliability with a low latency. This is essential for robotic applications which require real-time control and maximum flexibility to support a range of end-of-arm tooling without being confined by the complexity of wires, thus reducing overall payload and maintenance due to wear and tear. Another aspect that led DEA to embed CoreTigo’s technology in its products, was to ensure the continued ease of use for their clients – with a wireless solution, tool changeovers are now made much simpler and seamless.

“Providing our customers with the best solutions for their needs is what guides us at DEA Cobotics”. Says Veronica Pompa, DEA CEO. “We always strive for excellence, and found CoreTigo’s IO-Link Wireless solutions the way to achieve this.”

Utilizing IO-Link Wireless for robotic applications entails many benefits – such as reducing the weight on the arm, enabling automatic changing tools, increasing motion speed, expanding the reach of the robotic arm & rotation ability, and more.

“Partnering with DEA Cobotics is a true achievement for CoreTigo in the Italian market”, Says Eran Zigman, CoreTigo CEO. “Enabling advanced applications going from a single end-of-arm device, and up to tens of devices wirelessly connected on an end-of-arm, DEA has an impressive vision for the robotics market in Italy, that will enhance its productivity greatly.”

DEA Cobotics and CoreTigo will exhibit their joint solution and offer at these events:
